Exactly 135 days after the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers head coach, his replacement Danny Rohl met with reporters at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The scale of the challenge ahead of him is well known, considering his predecessor's chaotic and unsuccessful four-month tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by club chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned pair of football director Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning Comes First

A single message came through clearly from the new coach's initial presentation before the local press - he understands the need to win matches, and achieve this rapidly.

The previous manager Russell Martin managed just 17 games and four months in charge, so the inquiry emerged about how long the new man believes is realistic to turn around the underperforming team.

Although deftly sidestepping a direct answer that might create later expectations, Rohl's communication was very evident.

"With hope as soon as possible," he said. "This is crucial.
"In this business you have not much time. One can talk about long-term vision but it's understood it's about immediate results and that period involves winning games. This is what I demand.
"One thing remains obvious - I need every squad member to understand how we want to play. I come back to my primary theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain for years here."

Pressure is Normal

Martin required security protection to exit the stadium after his final match as manager.

We've seen how hostile situations can become at football clubs when performances are poor. Demonstrations have almost become a regular aspect of the matchday atmosphere on both sides of the city currently.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry asked about which attributes the coach thinks he possesses that would allow him to handle, never mind thrive, in one of the highest-pressure positions in UK soccer?

"I think pressure in this business is normal," he stated. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I believe certain individuals might mention my youth but I'm 16 years on this path. I experienced an excellent opportunity to be at Bayern Munich and be just the assistant coach, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the pressure you face.
"When you start getting results and then certain people will say you need to play attractive football. That's the next stage but precisely my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I'm excited for the future."

There were numerous questions from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has focused on the appointment of his son as recruitment chief, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the role.

However, he justified and clarified the decision to bring his son to the club.

"It's always awkward to listen and optically I believe we all agreed when we made this step to appoint him that he would be seen in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to bring the very best players here.
"My view on his professional path and background is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Villa as head scout, he then joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, two top division teams sought to sign him. Our approach from the start of the process was consult with the CEO, the chairman and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe about this matter.
"I was highly transparent and I believe Robbie probably experienced a more rigorous process than any other who's employed by this football club.
"What I do know is that he will work 25/8 to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him demonstrating that he's going to be a valuable employee for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell defended the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who joined the club for an alleged first payment of eight million pounds, after failing to find the net in 24 appearances for Everton.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound deal.

He was asked if he stands by his multi-million pound purchase, who is yet to score in seven matches for the club.

"Absolutely, very much so," Thelwell answered. "I think Youssef Chermiti represents who's possesses huge potential.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Again, I think the manager will help to get the best out of the player.
"It's very initial stages for him, he's a young talent and naturally with young talents they occasionally require patience.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his time at the club he'll demonstrate that he is highly capable footballer."

Stewart Understands Fan Disappointment and Anger

The chief executive was in the media firing line, given the vitriol that has been aimed at him by certain of the club's own supporters.

Additionally, there was a banner in the stadium during the recent draw with Dundee United inviting him - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the issue.

"I completely understand the frustration and hurt that fans are feeling because results recently haven't been expectations and nobody's satisfied with those," he stated.
"The pain and disappointment they feel is matched inside the leadership.
"Recognize that there has to be a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, that's me.
"I serve as lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
